Advocacy

FAWE Uganda has good networks in Uganda among them; Ministry of Education and Sports (MOEs) CSOs, donors, (local) governments, and private sector stakeholders.

As a critical player in advancing the cause for girls’ education in Uganda through advocating for and influencing policies towards a more enabling environment for girls’ education in Uganda. Over time, she has successfully expanded her efforts across all regions of Uganda and diversified her portfolio of services from the traditional approach of offering only education scholarships to strategic and proactive engagements of issues that undermine girls’ education and skilling. This is reinforced through a working relationship with stakeholders to envision social and system change in order to strengthen structures meant to enhance the rights of women through ensuring equitable access to education that prepares girls for 21st-century socio-economic opportunities and leadership and provides redress for any form of legal violations. This is achieved as an organization through systems strengthening at institutional and community.
